Roket3D uses a scripting language (Lua) in which you write your games. Lua is a light-weight fast scripting language, and can also be compiled to bytecode. Running on Irrlicht and Newton Physics, the engine itself is cross-platform, spanning Windows, Mac and Linux. With Roket3D, you don't have to rewrite your code to run on different platforms.

Roket3D currently supports the Windows platform only (the source code can build on Linux and Mac, though there are no binaries available).

Roket3D is now available under an open source license. See http://code.google.com/p/roket3d/ for more information.
